THE ATELIER KIT to IRON like a PRO

1) The Clapper - Tailor's Wood - Perfect for flattening seams, folds and zippers.

  • The Clapper is an essential instrument to achieve a professional iron finish. The wood traps the steam from the iron and retains it in the fabric for longer, resulting in clean seams and well-defined folds. By putting pressure on the tailor's wood we will obtain results similar to an ironing press.
  • Perfect for opening and flattening seams - straight or curved - without marking the fabric, and avoiding burns on hands and fingers.
  • It is ideal for checking seams, folds and zippers on finished garments.
  • Dimensions: 24 cm x 7 cm x 3.5 cm.
  • Made in Spain using FSC European beech hardwood.

2) The Ham

  • Perfect for ironing curved shapes of all sizes.
  • It allows you to easily shape garments without deforming them and comfortably access areas that are difficult to iron, such as necks, shoulders, backs, sleeve cups, sides, etc.
  • Dimensions: 26 cm x 18 cm x 9 cm
  • Handmade in Japan.

    3) The Tit

    • Perfect for ironing breast cups.
    • It allows you to easily shape garments and seams in the chest area without deforming them.
    • It can be used for children's clothing and small sleeve cups.
    • Dimensions: 14cm x 10cm x 10cm

The cushions are handmade in Japan with sustainable Paulownia wood, also called Kiri, the tree of life. The ironing hams are professional quality and extremely firm, there is no comparison with the commercial square hams available everywhere. The hams are filled with a micro sawdust that is exceptionally compact, resistant to moisture and mold, so it will last forever.

    Care:

The hams are very resistant, but dirt from the iron or lime from the steam can stain the fabric, this will not affect its use. If the ham falls by accident and becomes deformed or dented, we suggest you massage it carefully until it returns to its original shape.

Tailor wood is made from natural hard wood, however, it reacts to temperature and humidity, but with a little care it will last a lifetime. If it falls off or cracks, sand it carefully so it doesn't snag fabrics. If the grain of the wood lifts, you need to sand it gently with very fine sandpaper, wipe off excess dust with a microfiber cloth, if the cloth still catches, you need to sand it more. During the manufacturing process, the grain has been pre-lifted with water and then sanded.
