Handmade in Japan from sustainable Paulownia wood, also called Kiri, the tree of life. Traditionally, when a daughter was born, a Kiri tree was planted, and later a chest was made from its wood and given to the daughter as a dowry when she married.
Care: The ham is very durable, but dirt from the iron or limescale from steam may stain the fabric; this will not affect its use. If the ham is accidentally dropped and becomes misshapen or dented, we recommend carefully massaging it until it returns to its original shape.
